Not happy with how your living room looks? Here’s five ways you can instantly bring a breath of fresh air to your home!

Revamping your living room doesn’t mean you have to start painting and buying new furniture! Here’s five ways you can instantly bring a breath of fresh air to your living room – right now!

1. Experiment with Furniture Placement
Not happy with how your living room looks? Start by moving your furniture around first! Simply moving the position of a sofa and coffee table can dramatically change the look of a room as well as the traffic flow.

2. Hit the Lights
Lighting brings an instant mood change to a room. Bringing in some lamps, or changing the lampshades is an easy way to revamp a boring living room. You can even change to brighter light bulbs, or alternatively change to a lower, pearl light bulb to give a warmer glow.

3. Don’t ignore the walls
If you’ve got framed photos, posters, art and mirrors on your walls already, you can reposition them over your newly arranged furniture, or just remove and swap some over with different wall hangings from another room.

4. De-clutter
Create a feeling of calm and remove chaos from your living room by getting rid of the clutter that just seems to keep mounting up. Removing the paperwork, old knickknacks you can no longer stand the site of, and get rid of the mess!

5. Get Green
Add plant life to your living room – just don’t go overboard! A small indoor plant on a coffee table or a larger freestanding plant in an empty corner next to a sofa can bring a small touch of nature to your home.

There’s many more ways to give your living room a facelift without investing too much of your time. If all this revamping has got you in the mood for a more drastic change, then try replacing a larger piece of furniture like the sofa, or adding a piece of furniture like a coordinating armchair, shelving or coffee table.
