No one ever quite really grows up do they?
With a phenomenon that has been raging through the UK since the start of the play station 2 era, it's hardly surprising many families daily routine, weekly entertainment around the
sofa and even night time party life involves pretending to be rock stars. Adults seem to be reliving their youth, reminiscing their time in front of the mirror striking a standard and highly popular air guitar pose whilst listening to their favorite rock band. It's not surprising that the game console ‘Guitar Heroes’ has become hugely popular over the years. It is equally popular with the young and old. Allowing all ages to enjoy music, escape their worries and burden, and pursue that rock star dream! This game console even more importantly brings families, friends and even colleagues together to simply have fun!
The game itself brings in a healthy bit of competition between adults. Granted it is clearly evident that the children’s entertainment stems from watching the older generation. They find it rather entertaining to actually see adults finding their lost youth again! Whether it is men or women even children from as young as two have a play Guitar Hero. Moreover, it is clear that music has and always will be the one thing that is constant in people’s lives. It's always there and it always will be. Music not only brings joy, but it is also provokes thought patterns, be it a memory or an inspirational feeling that you just want to get up and dance or even paint to. Whatever a person’s outlook on music may be, no one can deny that music brings people together and this game brings all walks of life together, dancing around the living room sofa.
So it is a good way for a family to spend time together? Of course it is, it harms no one and so long as parents monitor their children's time on the game. Remember teenagers get stressed too, therefore this game is a good to move away from the academic worries of exams and there are far worse things they could be doing than playing Guitar Heroes with their mates! Life should not be taken seriously all the time and children need to learn this from their parents, it does no one any good to see people constantly stressed and worried! Adults forget what it is like to be a child and children are far too concerned with growing up as fast as they can, therefore this game does the perfect job of reminding them to forget those worries!
With the collaboration of rock tunes, children may even learn to appreciate that there was music before they were born or that their parents did have favourite tunes which they still know how to rock it out to!
