Sitting or sleeping sofabeds are comfortable, stylish and practical.

The sofa bed is a piece of furniture that can now be found in most homes, not just confined to students or those with very small living spaces. Sofa beds are extremely versatile, they aid in home sleeping arrangements for small homes that may not contain an extra/spare room. There are currently a number of modern and traditional sofabeds to choose from.

Many families have been affected by the current economic climate. Families currently have to downsize and move into smaller homes. This is unfortunately for those families looking to expand; consequently a lack of space appears a growing issue for many. When space is an issue most people will compromise on space reserved for sleeping rather than living space, therefore smaller bedrooms or less bedrooms are now more common. However people still need to have somewhere to sleep and this is where the sofa bed becomes a perfect investment. Sofabeds are dual purpose pieces of furniture, great to sit on but can be turned into somewhere to sleep when needed.

Sofabeds are useful if space is limited but also provided additional sleeping space for unexpected guests or occasional visitors. Sofabeds are also very appealing to younger people and are very handy for those teenage sleepovers. They have become even more useful as people are finding their finances are more strained. Even though we are currently in a stressful economic climate, most people still want to socialise with friends and do so as inexpensively as possible. Therefore, it is becoming increasingly popular to stay in rather than go out. Consequently, having a sofa bed allows you to have guests over for an entertaining night and not have to worry about who will drive or where people will sleep; the sofabed can be set up and cleared away within minutes.

Gone are the days when sofabeds were uncomfortable and ugly in design. Sofabeds are now available in an array of colours and designs. There are many companies and manufacturers who design and build bespoke sofabeds. The fabrics and materials used to create sofabeds are now of the highest specifications. Sofabeds can be single or double sized, some bigger sizes are also available, and therefore there is usually a size and style of sofabed available to fit most requirements. A small sofabed can fit in a bedroom, whilst a larger sofabed can be used as the main sofa for the family, the sofa bed does not need to be hidden or tidied away, the bedding can be quickly removed and the bed converted back into a sofa ready to be used again for sitting and relaxing.
